As we near the end of 2019 we thought we would take a look at some of the highlights for Speed Humps Australia. It’s been another really busy year for us and we’re so proud to have been involved in some really innovative and high-profile projects. Our speed humps, rumble bars and wheel stops have all been used to help improve road safety, pedestrian safety as well as protecting vehicles from damage.
One of the highlights of the year for us has been our involvement in the Sydney Light Rail project. Over 2000 of our rumble bars have been used in the development as lane delineators to help clearly highlight the new tram tracks and minimise the risk of car and pedestrian accidents. It’s great to see this project finally coming to fruition as the first trams are due to start rolling on the 14th December.
We’ve also worked on a large number of drive-thru restaurant developments and upgrades. From Taco Bell, KFC, McDonald’s, Zarraffas Coffee and more, we’ve helped to make the drive-thru lane a safer place for drivers. Our speed humps and rumble bars are also fast becoming best-practice in new-build drive-thru restaurants, with many architects and builders including them in the spec at new sites.
Of course, we’ve also been involved in some more traditional road safety projects too including a recent installation of our rumble bars in Harvey Bay to highlight potential hazards on the esplanade. We’ve also installed our speed humps and rumble bars everywhere from school campuses, car parks, mine sites, worksites and body corporate units.
We’ve had a great year and we’re really looking forward to 2020 and continuing to work with clients old and new to use our products in all manner of projects to help keep people safe.
