Speed Humps Australia Celebrating 20 years in the Industry

Celebrating 20 Years

Speed Humps Australia was born from one simple idea: to deliver world class road safety products, while delivering a memorable customer experience. Even in the early days, Jason was extremely hands-on with the product development side of things, and was relentless in sourcing the very best speed humps available on the market, and oversaw every quote, delivery and installation.

As the business grew, Jason and the team avoided the traditional path of pursuing resellers, and instead chose to focus on perfecting their own in-house products. From rumble bars, and wheel stops to the original speed humps. Jason began to collaborate much more closely with his manufacturers to deliver superior products that went the distance, and even incorporated recycled rubber for minimal environmental impact.

In addition, his background in real estate ensured that Jason never took his business relationships for granted. The people in his network proved to be invaluable sources for both feedback and new connections, and were integral in the steady yet sustainable expansion of Speed Humps Australia.

Now on the cusp of celebrating their twentieth anniversary, Jason has developed Speed Humps Australia into the market leader that it is today. Seeing a need for better priced solutions that didn’t sacrifice on quality or customer service, Jason and his team now work with some of the biggest names in Australia, such as KFC, McDonalds, Sydney Light Rail, Local Government and some of Australia’s largest mining operators.

However, where Speed Humps Australia truly shines is finding the balance between looking after small businesses and large scale government tenders. Jason has always remembered that anyone with a carpark has a need for road safety measures, and has proactively taken steps to ensure the same service is provided to the smaller operators.

According to Jason, his ability to walk the walk instead of just talk the talk speaks for itself, and is a quality that his customers have come to depend on.

“Our customers know that I’ve got over twenty years being on the ground. I’m not just a guy that’s been in the office and come along and taken over the business or the position – I’ve been on the tools, and I know what’s involved in producing the speed humps. I can answer questions like what are the uses of speed humps, how are they most effective, and what’s the best positioning. We saw a need, we designed a better solution, and now that solution is a reality that’s working effectively across so many different businesses and situations.”

As such, Jason’s long and varied client list now includes local councils, shopping centres, fast food outlets, residential managers and body corporates, schools and child care centres. In addition, the network of Speed Humps Australia also includes the businesses that work with these front line enterprises, such as companies in the building, line marking and road construction sectors.

It’s Jason’s belief that the success of Speed Humps Australia lies in their ability to deliver tailor made solutions to each of their clients, and to embrace constant adaptation as a means to keep up with an ever changing world. By working directly with each customer, Jason is able to execute effective and long lasting road safety plans that provide real value and efficiency measures in decades, and not just for a few months.

Speed Humps Australia is proud to have two decades under their belt without a single warranty claim. Despite this, innovation and applying a personal touch remains at the core of everything Jason does – which may help to explain his longevity in the road safety business, and why many of his clients have stuck with him for well over ten years.
